Have you ever been in a situation and wondered "what do I get that serves my goals?" Short on time, big on tasks and the "To Do List" is scrolling? I have, and can tell you there are many ways to get your meals to be fast and healthy.
The first thing you need to do is know what it is that makes a balanced meal. Most of us know something about this but in haste, fail to plan and fail miserably at making balanced choices during the day. We don't plan to fail, we fail to plan.
Critical Info here:
Balanced meals contain Fiber, Protein, and Complex Carbs (Vegetables, Fruits). Examples incluede, eggs, berries and oatmeal or chicken and salad. That means a whole serving of protein in each meal. Depending on your needs (15 - 40 grams per meal). Thnis is the appropieat amount and is not "high protein", just what the body requires to burn fat and build muscle.
How do we get balanced meals with a hectic schedule?
1. Have protein prepared. Cook up several servings of fish, chicken and lean meats.
2. Know what you like, and have those foods on hand. Make lists to refer to for groceries.
3. Know your numbers! How much protein is in a whole serving of eggs? For women that's 4 egg whites (one yellow) Double that for the guys. All your counts are in the Nutrition Log, learn them.
4. Know what veggies you will eat and enjoy...again, have them on hand. No one is running to the supermarket at 2 PM when you need to eat and responsibilities need to be met for the day.
5. Get a team to help you with your nutrition goals. Your trainer, friends, and family should be aware of what you are working on. Tell them to help out with shopping, prep and positive support. The most successful people I know all have coaches and professionals along the way.
6. Log in Your Nutrition Journal. This is critical to building awareness and making changes in habits.
Stay clear and conscious about what you want and why. Affirmations work! Create on that works for you and say it, write it, share it. Example: I eat balanced meals all the time and enjoy a moderate amount of free foods while attaining my goals. Be honest about where you are and where you are going as you make positive changes in your habits. Keep in mind you can do anything you set your mind to. You can have a busy lifestyle and enjoy optimal fitness. Notice others who are successful and study their strategies, attitude and habits. The path to success will become clearer all the time.
